A letter to my future self.

Hello Queen,
You are worthy to be loved. That’s literally who you are and who you’ve been from the very beginning. I hope that you never forget it. You deserve unconditional love. The kind of love that lasts no matter what you do or how you do it. I’m writing this letter because I want you to know how much you matter. You’re valuable and anyone who doesn’t see that, it’s their loss. Don’t ever settle for safe. Always be the best you can be and do everything in excellence. Your humbleness will take you far. Don’t ever change your heart and don’t let your life experiences break you down. You are resilient and strong.
As I’m writing this letter, I’m thinking about how far you’ve come over the years. You use to be so angry inside. Broken and damaged because of how people treated you. You didn’t respect yourself and you were very naive. You kept everything bottled up inside but that changed once you realized your worth. You started getting closer to God and let go of hinderances that held you back. You put your mind to what you wanted and you accomplished your goals. You’re intelligent and confident. No one can take that away from you. You always knew what you wanted in life and figured out a plan to go and get it. Don’t ever loose that quality.
I’m not sure where life has taken you but I know you’re successful. Success doesn’t equate to money but it defines spiritual growth, joy, peace, purpose, and love. You are successful because you have the light. The light that draws people close to you because they see just how special you are. Your light comes from your creator. He knew that you would touch many people through healing and restoration. You have a gift. You didn’t always see this as a gift because of the kind of people you attracted: broken people. But God knew that you could handle it. You were once broken yourself but once you had an encounter with love, you changed. You’re able to give hope to others. Never forget this.
As I close this letter, I want you to remember those who came before you. Remember your grandma and all the nuggets she gave you. Remember how strong she was and how she held on to God’s unchanging hand for as long as she could. Remember how she prayed and recited The Word. I want you to do the same. Remember how much she cared for you even on her death bed. You were special in her eyes and could do no wrong. That’s how God sees you. Don’t ever give up on him or yourself.
Love,
Amanda 💘
